Preview
The native Preview browser for a dev server your project started, and how agents open it for you.
Preview is a native browser view for a dev server your project started. There is one Preview per project.
Ask your agent to preview
Ask your agent to run or preview the app.
Palisade bundles palisade-preview instructions for every interactive ACP agent.
That includes resumed sessions and agent handoffs. You do not install a skill.
The agent should:
- Use your project's development command.
- Check that the server is running.
- Print its real URL in tool output, for example
http://localhost:…orhttp://127.0.0.1:….
Palisade detects that output and opens the Preview tab. Commands you run in Palisade's terminals use the same detection.
Open it yourself
Open Preview from the new-tab menu and enter a URL. Reload refreshes the embedded page.
When a page will not embed
Some sites set a security policy that blocks embedding. Use the external-browser control to open the page in your browser instead.
Native desktop apps run in their own window, not inside Preview.
Troubleshooting
If Preview does not open:
- Check the server's startup output and permissions.
- Fix a failed server startup first. Its URL will not work until then.
- Make sure the URL appeared in tool output, not only in chat.
