Terms of Service
These terms cover the Palisade website and hosted account services maintained by Tristan Smith. Last updated: October 8, 2026. Contact: tjlsmith0831@gmail.com.
What Palisade provides
Palisade Code is a desktop development environment for running coding agents, managing projects, reviewing changes, and executing verification commands. It is currently a public beta. Features may change, and availability or correctness is not guaranteed.
These terms govern your use of the website and hosted Palisade account services to the extent permitted by applicable law. They do not replace or restrict rights granted by the software's Apache License 2.0. Bundled third-party software retains its own licenses; see the project's NOTICE.
Accounts and acceptable use
Provide accurate account information, protect access to your account, and use only accounts and systems you are authorized to access. Do not use hosted Palisade services for unlawful activity, to compromise another person's accounts or systems, to distribute malicious software, or to interfere with the service. These account services are not intended for children under 13.
We may restrict or suspend hosted account access when reasonably necessary to address abuse, security risks, or legal obligations. You can contact us about an access restriction. Account restrictions do not change your rights under the open-source software license.
Your work and connected services
You retain your rights in your code, prompts, files, and other project content. Signing into Palisade does not transfer ownership of your work or automatically upload your workspace to us.
Agents and tools can read files, run commands, modify repositories, and communicate with external services according to the permissions you grant. You are responsible for choosing those tools, reviewing their permissions, maintaining backups, and checking changes before using or distributing them. A successful verification command provides evidence about that command; it is not a guarantee that all defects or security issues have been found.
Third-party agents, models, authentication providers, hosting services, and connected tools have their own terms and policies. You are responsible for any subscriptions or usage charges you arrange with them. Palisade does not promise their availability or results.
Privacy and reports
Our Privacy Policy describes account information, local data, website analytics, and feedback processing. In-app feedback may be published as GitHub issues. Submit only content you have permission to share, and keep confidential information and credentials out of public reports. Security concerns should use the repository's private reporting channel.
Charges and future features
These terms do not enroll you in a paid subscription. If paid Palisade features are offered later, their price, billing conditions, and any additional terms will be presented before you choose to purchase them. Future paid features are not promised by these terms.
Warranties and responsibility
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the website and hosted account services are provided as available, without warranties of uninterrupted operation, fitness for a particular purpose, or error-free results. The software's warranties and liability provisions are governed by its applicable license.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses from use of the website or hosted account services, including lost profits or lost data. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
Changes and ending use
You may stop using the website and hosted account services at any time, and may request account deletion using the contact above. Removing an account does not automatically remove local workspace files or data held by your connected providers.
We may change or discontinue hosted services. Material changes to these terms will be posted here with an updated date and communicated through the website, application, or account contact information as appropriate. Changes do not retroactively remove rights already granted under the software license.
